These terms govern your use of Passage Lens. They are written to be clear, practical, and specific to how the product works.

Using Passage Lens

Passage Lens is for Bible study and educational context only. The Service may help explain biblical, historical, literary, linguistic, theological, and interpretive context so users can read Scripture, take notes, and ask questions in context. You may use it only in lawful, non-abusive ways and may not interfere with the app, its infrastructure, or other users.

AI-generated responses

Passage Lens uses AI-generated responses. AI answers may be incomplete, incorrect, inappropriate, or require independent judgment. Passage Lens does not guarantee that every answer will be accurate, exhaustive, or suitable for every context. Do not submit sensitive personal information, including medical, financial, legal, identifying, or confidential information, in Ask questions.

Not professional or pastoral advice

Passage Lens is not a source of personal, pastoral, medical, mental health, legal, financial, emergency, or other professional advice. Passage Lens does not provide spiritual authority, pastoral care, diagnosis, treatment, legal representation, financial advice, or emergency services. If you may be in danger or experiencing a crisis, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis hotline immediately.

Your responsibility

You agree not to use Passage Lens to seek or rely on direct guidance about personal decisions, including medical treatment, medication, self-harm or crisis decisions, legal rights or obligations, financial or investment decisions, relationships, divorce, abuse, employment, housing, or other high-impact matters. You are responsible for evaluating any response and should verify important information with primary sources, qualified professionals, clergy, counselors, or trusted human support as applicable.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, automate abuse, scrape private user data, reverse engineer protected parts of the system, or use Passage Lens to create abusive, unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or exploitative content.

Accounts and access

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity that occurs through it. Some features may depend on your account status, entitlements, or usage limits. If you believe your account has been compromised, you should act promptly to secure it.

Reporting problems

Please report problematic answers, bugs, safety concerns, or account issues so the Passage Lens team can review them.

Intellectual property

Passage Lens, including its interface, branding, software, and original product content, is protected by intellectual property law. These terms do not transfer ownership of the product or its underlying materials.

Third-party resources

Passage Lens may include outbound links to third-party sites and resources. Those are offered as optional external resources, not as native Passage Lens content. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or policies of those third-party sites.

Suspension or termination

We may suspend or terminate access if needed to protect the service, comply with law, address abuse, or enforce these terms.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Passage Lens is provided on an as-is basis, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
